How engine radiator works
1. Heat transfer: The engine generates a large amount of heat during operation. The function of the radiator is to remove this heat from the engine’s coolant to prevent the engine from overheating.
2. Coolant circulation: The heat of the engine is transferred to the radiator through the coolant circulation system. The coolant absorbs heat from the engine components and flows through the radiator.
3. Heat dissipation: There are many small channels designed inside the radiator. When the coolant passes through these channels, its heat is transferred to the outside air through radiation and convection.
4. Air flow: In order to improve heat dissipation efficiency, radiators are usually equipped with fans to force air through the radiator and accelerate the dissipation of heat.
5. Temperature control: The design of the radiator usually includes a temperature control valve to regulate the flow of coolant to ensure that the engine maintains a suitable operating temperature under different operating conditions.
